Black corded ribbon around base of crown with bow fastening. Lined with stiffened cream silk; lower edge of interior with 10cm deep striped blue and gold silk backed paper. Maker's name in crest inside top of crown 'MOLLODY, LONDON - WATERPROOF' black ties. 'J.P.' crudely written in pen below crest.

- Textile, Welsh Costume. North Wales shape? 1830-60 ? Diameter of brim 36.7 cms, height 21 cms. Rigid base, buckram, covered with black plush material, brushed. Black corded ribbon around base of crown with bow fastening. Lined with stiffened cream silk; lower edge of interior with 10cm deep striped blue and gold silk backed paper. Maker's name in crest inside top of crown 'MOLLODY, LONDON - WATERPROOF' black ties. 'J.P.' crudely written in pen below crest.
