This article describes the day of 23 January 1918, when a ‘noble army of women’ paraded the streets of Cardiff. They marched from the station to the Labour Exchange and were met by representatives of the Corps. The Lord Mayor and Area Controller (Overseas) then inspected the women. The writer hoped that ‘the girls of Cardiff will respond heartily to the appeal for more women workers, and aid Britain in the task of defeating her enemies’.
